question regarding the electrochromism of NiO in Li+ electrolyte. I prepared NiO thin film on FTO/glass by electrodeposition, and then activated the NiO in either Lithium perchlorate in PC with the application of a small current (around 2 uA/cm2, galvanostatic) for Li+ intercalation to activate the NiO, or CV cycling in 1M KOH for activation, then tried CV for electrochromic effect in 1M LiClO4-PC electrolyte, but the optical modulation was really low (around 2-3%), however, if I use 1M KOH as the electrolyte, the optical modulation was all good, does anybody know how can I obtain high optical modulation of NiO in Li+ electrolyte? thanks
