Hello,

I am trying to model evaporation of liquid hydrocarbons in ANSYS CFX. The heat needed for the phase transition is introduced via superheated steam. At the moment, the hydrocarbon I use, liquid n-decane, is at 40 degrees below its boiling point, while the steam's temperature is 200 degrees higher. Insignificant phase transition is present and I am puzzled as to what is the reason for this.

I have tried modeling the heat transfer between the steam|decane fluid pair via heat transfer coefficient, and I am thinking that maybe its value was too low.

Any advice on what heat transfer model to use?
