Make an AC (Sin or Cos) wave and send it through cable. plot the sent signal by one prob, and plot the source signal by the other prob simultaneously. In this way you can easily find the delay and attenuation by the differences in time and voltage axis respectively. (X and Y axis respectively)...
But most of the times you can find the attenuation, written on the cable... it is another way too.

Further could you please help me with the formula, which is used to find attenuation from S parameters. Since there is no direct provision to measure the attenuation in my network analyzer.
