I'm doing an aethiology work of Heliconia's leaf spot disease produced by Cordana sp. I already have the pathogen in culture and I want to inoculate it to view the symptons. Heliconias' entire plants are hard to find in my region and I could only get few leaves sold as ornamentals. So I'd like to know if there's a simple method to maintain leaves alive for long time 'till pathongen infects and shows symptoms. If it's posible, just to keep a piece, due Heliconias' leaves are too big.
