I have an adsorption-desorption isotherm of N2 from a 900oC-char sample in mixture of CO2+H20 at 90% of conversion. However, I am not sure this curve belong to what type of isotherm according to IUPAC classification?
Moreover, BET method provided precise specific surface area as well as V total decreased when the conversion increased from 25% to 90%. What is this phenomenon due to?
Your isotherm shows a nonporous material, with low interaction with adsorbent. I recommend you trying another one. This uptake at pressures higher than 0.95 are gas condensation, and doesn't say much about your material, the pore volume measured at this region is not really the maximum uptake of adsorbent for your material, and cannot be used to calculate pore volume
