I tried to isolate proteins from microalgae (Chlorella and Chalmaydomonas), using trizol method. After, isolation I could not see any pellets/precipitate of protein.
Can anyone suggest me how can I get protein precipitate?
It depends on which kind of proteins (e.g., soluble, insoluble, membrane proteins) from which cellular compartment you want to isolate. The method of how you disrupt the cells is also important.
