Does anyone know a good germination protocol for Campanula glomerata without using gibberellic acid (GA3)? We have seeds originating from various wild populations from Belgium and France. When using the protocol recommended by SID, we get between 66 and 80% germination. However, since we want to produce healthy seedlings in the framework of a reintroduction programme, we want to germinate them without the addition of GA3, in order to avoid seedling malformations. Without GA3, however, no germination was obtained.
