I think so. In Indian region some parts are hidden for the protection purpose. And you can't download high resolution data like quicbird and Ikonos imagery.

Asokan have you ever tried to download Google Earth Imagery, I am just asking this to know about the resolution its gives once we download it.

Generally the image which we view on Google Earth platform looses its sharpness when we keep on zooming it, but this should not be the case if the downloaded image keeps the same resolution as of Quickbird image. I am not sure about this.

I do not quite understand why people here recommand google Earth pro. I used it, and resolutions are limited, especially when you need to download a larger are that maybe a few hundred square meters or a few kilometers. It turns out that the size of your download for a small patch is similar to that of a large area, meaning that resolution has been lowered, which is also visual in the downloaded image. So, if it is possible, how did you do it?

I am talking about very high resolutions with 0.5 meter pixelsize.

Hello, Google Earth pro is the best option that you may have for India. Unfortunately India is not yet updated in doing the satellite imagery to a higher precision. But if you can get access to US military satellite through Official ways you can get a high quality data.

the other option is to use remote sensing and converting the whole stuffs.

Hi, thank you. As far as I know, G Earth only offers limited resolution? I need to download the Sierra Nevada mountains, Andalucia, Spain. SASplanet should work I believe.
