While making solutions of copolymers containing an alkoxysilane moiety, the only experience that I have had so far has been gelation of the solution (which is undesirable).
From own experience I would give the advice to add a high excess of alcohol to the solution. You can use the alcohol of the alkoxysilane (mostly ethanol or methanol, water free) or methoxyethanol. Methoxyethanol (methyl cellosolve) will exange with the alkoxy groups of the silane and decrease the reactivity. If this is tolerable methyl cellosolve is a better choice than (m)ethanol.
