I am conducting Total Phenols, Flavonoids and Tannins content experiments. I am using 3 different concentrations of 0.1, 1.0 and 10mg/ml. When using the formular C= c x V/M, what will be the value for M for each of these concentrations? The initial stock prepared was a 50mg/ml which was diluted to prepare the other concnetrations. The value for v= 0.5ml

I am trying to understand the variables in C= c.v/M but I seem to always be lost. How different are C and M? If M here is number of moles, the equation is left to be C=1.
Could you please clarify by defining the terms?
Otherwise, my mind is stuck on
n=c.v or c= n/v which is used upon dilutions.

Thank you for the feedback but most of the papers need purchasing. The issue is that as I increase the concentration of my plant extracts, I am obtaining less total compounds which is attributed to the difference in the mass "M" value?! And that is uncommon even after repeating the assays 4 to 5 times and the plan was to see at what rate these compounds increase as concentration increases
