Hello everyone - I have one categorical variable with two levels as an independent variable (IV) and two categorical variables (M1 and M2) with three levels (each) as moderating variables. I have one covariate too and two dependent variables (DV).

I have built 5 models of increasing complexity. First, I am using a three-way ANCOVA to look at the main effect of the IV on the DV. Second, I am using Hayes' PROCESS macro for SPSS to look at the moderating effect of M1 (model 1 in PROCESS). Third, I am looking at the moderating effect of M2 (model 1 in PROCESS). Fourth, I am looking at the moderating effect of M1 and M2 simultaneously (model 2 in PROCESS). Fifth, I am looking at the moderated-moderating effect of M1 and M2 (model 3 in PROCESS). Now I wish to compare all 5 models; is there a way to do so in SPSS? A friend suggested AIC (in R); but am not very familiar with R. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Additional information: My interaction results in an increase in R2 with growing complexity of the model.

Additional request: Any good paper that I could refer to as I am reporting my findings will be extremely useful. I am struggling to articulate.
