There are series of approaches that can be taken to detect and assess bias associate with survey instruments used in field research projects. One approach, which is taught at all graduates school advanced research methods courses is that of evaluating the kids of questions that are asked.. Are the questions "leading questions", which predisposes the respondents to answer in a predetermined way?
