The analysed volcanic rock consists of Plagioclase, Clinopyroxene, amphibole, chlorite, illmenite and sphene which match only three possible pairs to calculate geothermobarometers. So, is there any spread sheet available to calculate the same?
You can use the Al-in barometer (Al in hornblende) do obtain the pressure of crystallisation. Type in google Al-in barometer and you find the papers. They are meny. Enjoy
You can use the PTMAFIC software. You can download it for free at:
http://www.ugr.es/~jsoto/PTMafic.htm
If you do not have minerals in equilibrium, there is a sofware THERIAK DOMINO from C DE CAPITANI - 2010. http://titan.minpet.unibas.ch/minpet/theriak/prog120103/.
(de Capitani C. and Petrakakis K. (2010): The computation of equilibrium assemblage diagrams with Theriak/Domino software. American Mineralogist 95: 1006-1016)
It is a free fortran software for calculating and plotting thermodynamic properties and equilibrium assemblages
You don't need microprobe analyzes, only a good petrographic study and major elelment analyses (The software uses only the major analyzes of rocks).
Philip Machev Sir, if possible, kindly send me the Blundy and Hollands (1990) paper, which I don't have and will be helpful in calculating the thermometer.
