I am looking to use graphene sheets as strain gauges inside of a prepreg composite made of carbon fibers and epoxy resin (or BMI if easier). I haven't decided which kind of (reduced)graphene(oxide) that is best to use.
My current issue is that I can not find much about graphene's binding characteristics to epoxy with sufficient strength to transfer strain well enough to measure it.
I am not a chemist and therefor do many articles fly by which contain too complicated chemistry.
Thank you for your answer Dr. Nguyen! Do you have any or do you know any paper which has done similar doping of Graphene? I assume I have to involve a researcher with more polymer knowledge.

If you are interested in mechanical properties then the best option is small filler content of high oxygen content GO as demonstrated here:

If you are interested in electrical properties then you have to utilize reduced GO which has improved electrical properties.
