Hello everybody,
Regarding housing. I have approx. 10 PCBs (same size with digital and analog connections) and one big pcb having battery and other interfacing stuff. Can anybody guide me if there are any specific rules for pcbs connections (cascading of different pcbs having analog and digital connections)? or in simple words how i can mount or place these boards to make it compact?

If you are having 10 PCBs already designed and fabricated, then it is a bit different story but if you are YET to design, then may be I can suggest you to use EURO-connectors that are standard and can have many connections/pins in multiples of 31 and you can have 2-3 rows of that in one single connector. Making a BACKPLANE or MOTHERBOARD type construction to host smaller "ADD-ON" boards is a modular approach widely used in the industry.
Also, as other authors have stated, the PCB design software in these days have a mechanical CAD output or 3D preview while designing the PCB layout. This will also help you in finalizing the proper placement.
As far as signal routing and connections are considered, YES, you need to take extra care in signal routing and power supply connections. Avoid your digital signals running on the same side or same connectors that carry your analog signals - both the low-levels and the amplified as well. Try to use Separate connectors for your analog signals, digital signals and the power supplies. Ensure also, there is adequate GROUND PLANE both on your (small) modular ADD-ON PCBs and on the BACKPLANE or MOTHERBOARD.
You can also provide enclosure shielding to your analog and digital clock related circuit sections.

One of the most compact ways is making a separate board with board connectors like those from PCIe/PCI which are cheap, resilient and widely available.
This is how most rack instruments in the video/audio market are made.
I don't know if you have particular specification (high currents, noisy lines, hi-speed, low leakage etc etc ).
