My study is based on interfacial behavioral analysis of surfactant in the presence of nanoparticles. Solutions in relation to air-water IFT, oil-water IFT, and micellization and adsorption tendencies are required.
Surfactants are adsorbed on the interphase surface. Therefore, we will consider the effect of nanoparticles on their addition to water-air, water-oil.
1. Surfactants are adsorbed on nanoparticles. Therefore, nanoparticles reduce the adsorption of surfactants on interphase surfaces. With micellization of the surfactant, there will be no reduction.
2. If the nanoparticles are wetted, they will concentrate on the interfacial surface (flotation). Wettability depends on the nature of the nanoparticles and the nature of the surfactant.
