Graphene is reported as an electronically transparent material because its thin nature and high conductivity. What's more, graphene appears transparent in SEM images.

The electron transparency generally depends on the input electron energy, electron absorption co-efficient of the materials, and material thickness. If you incident very high energy like in TEM ( ~200 kV), many electronically opaque thin film materials those are opaque in SEM (~20 kV) can be transparent in TEM.
