yes it is one of the excellent tool useful to increase agriculture productivity. but most of us failed to utilize this tool due to lack of knowledge and misconception as it is only a computer software. but it needs quality experimental data to consider biotic stresses and to validate the model under given set of environmental conditions. once it is validated we can take management options with reduced time and experimentation at multi location level. we can appreciate western country scientist where they are utilizing decision support system more when compared to Asian countries
