Thanks for the invitation. This subject is very critical issue in environment conservation. Many developed countries like US, Australia and New Zealand are suffering from such invasions of alien fish. However, management strategies are multilevel plans. Community awareness is important through media and education to ensure people cooperation. Intensive studies on the population dynamics of the alien species are needed to reveal the weakest ring in its life cycle which could be a target later. Restoration of native species is also one choice. Modification of environmental factors such are water level control is practiced to limit alien reproduction in case it is not affect natives. Chemical control was failed because it was not selective, expensive and not eco-friendly. Mass fishing for aliens was only feasible in small and well contained water bodies during an early stage of invasion. Physical means like burning marshes is not acceptable. In conclusion, huge efforts are required to address this issue with support from government and national and international interested agencies.
