Hi all,

I am currently working on microfluidics research field in cell sorting; and my work requires using magnetic fluid with a specified magnetic and chemical properties. The problem I face that the magnetic susceptibility of many novel fluids synthesized in the early recent years was not recorded and thus I do not know it.

The reason for which I need to know the magnetic susceptibility specifically is that I use COMSOL Multiphysics to study the trajectory of biological elements during the flow of magnetic fluid, COMSOL accept only interprets relative permeability (1+magnetic susceptibility) of the fluid. Is there any method or strategy to compute magnetic susceptibility of any magnetic fluid? a certain equation as an example that relates the magnetic susceptibility of the whole fluid to magnetic susceptibility of nanoparticles which embedded in, or anything similar to that? I wish that anyone answer me.
