Hello! I want to characterize Mycobacterium gordonae, which is a slow growing mycobacterium, scotocromogena. I have tried the PFGE technique following the protocol proposed by Iker Sevilla et al., in the article entitled: Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis profile homogeneity of Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis isolates from cattle and heterogeneity of those from sheep and goats, with which I had the results shown in the attached image.

If someone who has worked with mycobacteria and electrophoresis in a pulsed field could help me out, suggest me an alternative where I can obtain a better PFGE's resut, or give me an explanation of what could possibly be the reason why I am obtaining this result (if happens that you have had this kind of problem), I would be very grateful for such information.
