How could I exactly count the phagocytes using hemocytometer?

Hi. I'm trying Chemiluminescence experiment using fish head kidney phagocyte.

The problem is, everytime I perform CL, the result says I did not have enough phagocytes to get a reliable results.

I think due to the inhibition of RBC, it's hard to count the number of accurate phagocytes on the hemocytometer.

Is there any tips to count "only" phagocytes after TB treatment using the hemocytometer?
