@ Mr. Ali, for oral administration u can make a emulsion of the hexane extract. That can very easily feed to rats. Hexane extract cant be easily sum up with water without preparing emulsion. first u sud make a stable emulsion then after u administer. Definately it will helpful for proper dosing of hydrophobic medicaments. Thanks
Add some diethyl ether, let it dissolve, then evaporate it. Now leave a little bit of ether, 1-2 mL, then put it on a vacuum pump for 1-2 days. It might form some foam at first, but if you leave it long enough, you'll get a solid. It could be hygroscopic, so be careful not to expose it to humidity.
1. Very little of hexane extract of plant will be water soluble. So your experiment design needs to be verified please.
2. Hexane extract could be dried in solution (before stripping off solvent) on anhydrous sodium sulfate/ any neutral drying agent, then strip the solvent.
3. If it a small quantity, keep for 1-2 hrs under high vac maintaining 40-45C bath temp.

Thank all of you who answered my question, I think Katara's suggestion is better than others. Dear Derek do you have any suggestion about making emulsion. or have some other technique.
It may contain oils or fatty substances ,u can remove oils and fats by saponification or by treating the extract with acetonitrile ,i hope these methods will work
