The tool appraisal of guidelines research and evaluation (AGREE) are widely used to assess the the methodological rigour and transparency of clinical practice guidelines. The revised version (AGREE II) was launched in 2009. There are minor changes in the two versions. It is tempting to use results from research based on AGREE and AGREE II in order to investigate the development of CPGs' quality over time. Does anyone know whether the comparability of these two versions has been tested in research?
