I would like to demonstrate that Haemophilus influenzae, a common human pathogen, lacks numerous genes in comparison with its ancestor due to genome reduction. I need to know its ancestor to perform genome comparison.
One of ways, you can create a graph of ancestor by different sofl like TCS or Splitstree.
You can compare the genome size and gene content of Haemophilus influenzae with other species that belong to the same genera or family.
