How can we study surface of revolution using the Darboux Frame Field?

Is there any methods to construct equations of surface of revolution like torus, ellipsoid, elliptic hyperboloid and all with darboux frame field? Tubes and canal surfaces with darboux frame field are available so could we consider torus as a tube with the center curve as a circle?
