Survey face validity should be established first. The survey’s face value could be established using two-step process. The first step involves having the survey reviewed by two experts (an expert familiar with the survey topic to evaluate if questions successfully capture the topic of interest and an expert on question construction ensuring that the survey does not contain common errors such as leading, confusing or double-barreled questions). The survey is then pilot tested on a subset of participants, the internal consistency of questions is checked to examine questions reliability by ensuring the survey answers are consistent, and the final set of collected data is carefully revised.
