I am doing a non-equilibrium plasma simulation using the software. Since I am considering everything averaged over a volume, the power given to the plasma system is actually behaving as plasma density. How can I now calculate AC electric field from this given power density?
The equation to calculate the electric field is very simple.
You should give the power density to the plasma and it is related to the electric field thrugh the equation
W=JE=q_e N_e \mu_e(E) E*E
where J is the current density, E electric field, q_e the electron charge, N_e the electron density, \mu_e(E) is the electron mobility, which is a function of the electric field. If calculate the time evolution, the variation of the electric field in a single step is not so large, therefore you can assume that \mu_e is constant therefore
E=(W/(q_eN_emu_e))^0.5
