Hola Ibrahim, el proceso de identificación en contexto médico-legal o forense, por medio de características buco-dentales, es viable cuando se cuenta con un identoestomatograma o ficha dental ante-mortem de la persona que se busca. Es decir si no existe un radiografía dental, fotografía clínica dental o ficha dental con la que se pueda comparar la evidencia dental de un cadáver o resto biológico, se vuelve muy difícil el proceso de necro-identificación.

To positively identify a person, classically a number of patterns has to successfully match between antemortem and postmortem radiographs, photographs, impression models/casts or dental charts [that are obtained from the victims/perpetrators dentist' (am) or created by the forensic scientist (pm]. Certain structures such as cusps, root morphology/number etc. can help to create a good overview of the dental status of a person.. and overall these structures rarely change in the time between visits to a dentist. However, caries can be quite a dynamic disease that can change the appearance of a tooth/tooth surface quite dramatically sometimes - and if the victim/perpetrator doesn't frequently visit a dentist these caries-induced changes won't be documented. So in my opinion caries patterns should not be used an a main indicator for the identifaction process, but can surely help explaining discripancies between the antemortem and postmortem radiographs/photographs. 

In my own experience I found (deep) caries to still be radiologically visible afte exposing molars to high temperatures (45min @900°C), so it is a highly preserved feature that could in cases of fragmented human remains surely help (but not as the main indicator).

DNA analysis of dental pulp confirms the identification of the victim and the swabs taken from bite marks and DNA analysis of it can confirm the perpetrator.

1)if the caries is active before death, can it continue after death for a while?

2. For example, a man has been to a dentist and had a radiograph of his teeth, he has several tooth caries lesions from beginnig to groos lesions, 

So How many time should be passed to make comparison correctly after his death?
