I am trying to maintain two different high DC voltages of same polarity (either positive or negative) between two parallel electrodes separated by 500 um inside the vacuum. However, what I found was, when I increase the voltage of one of the electrodes, the voltage on the another electrodes increases automatically, even when it is maintained at 0 V. This phenomena does not occur when one of the electrodes is positively connected and another is connected to ground or negative. This only occurs when both electrodes are connected with same polarity (electrode 1 +ve, electrode 2 +ve or Electrode 1 -ve, electrode 2 -ve). I think it is some kind of voltage coupling going on between two electrodes because of the capacitance between them. Please, help me to solve the voltage coupling problem.

Thank you
