Dear Van, what level of precision are you persuing for you bathymetry? also, what instrumentation/technique are you using in your survey?

the precision for bathymetry can be at most 80 cm.

the technique are:

1. DGPS, Sondeur, Sondeur-DGPS, ...

il faudrait peu être jouer sur  le coefficient de pénétration pour être plus "au fond"et éviter la précision pour éliminer la végétation (posidonies?).

Here in my Institute we have been using the CEEDUCER Pro echo sounder with DGPS which records every 2 sec. Here we get accuracy level upto more than 90%. In case of submerged vegetation area, you have very much rely on manual sounding.
