Thanks for the reply Ke-Wei. Is the final reaction done in deionized water? Should the dye be dissolved in pure DMSO? What is the emission maxima of unbound dye?

I am not familiar with this photo-reactive compound. Check out someone's paper for details (e.g., PMID: 23098264). Good luck.
