It is difficult to get agreement of employers to record their interactions with employee.
Thanks Mayowa for your answer. If employers accept, it is OK. As I have written above, however, "It is difficult to get the agreement of employers for recording". I thought other ideas might be given and this is why I wrote the question.
Why do not you try interviewing them or you may design a questionaire involving 'how do you respond to x situation or x answer'- questions to elicit their response without having the trouble of recording and transcribing their utterances
Wafaa, If they dont give you their consent, you cannot tape them. Many research agenda could not be done because ethical/consent of subjects could not be sought. If you do without their consent, well I dont know what the implications are for you in your country. But if you do that here in developed countries, the implications can be very scary.
Mayowa Akinlotan : I am fully aware of that and I would never do it myself. In fact, if I were a boss somewhere, I would not allow a person to record any exchange unless all those involved agree willfully. I wrote this question to hear your suggestions as Shatha Naiyf Qaiwer College of Education for Women-English dep. Baghdad University has suggested, which a reasonable alternative.
