How can we clean and reuse the glass micropipette electrodes?

We have carbon microelectrodes in a pulled glass pipette for electrochemical experiments. The tips of these electrodes are carbon 5-10 um in diameter.

After first run, we want to reuse them, with a different coating though. Sonication took almost half of the tip and the electrode within off (made it shorter).

Any other recommendations for cleaning and reusability of these electrodes? would piranha solution be too strong?

The tips of your electrodes can be heated in air or in such oxygen to oxidize graphite and turn it into carbon monoxide.
