How can we calculate the transmission error for a hypoid gearset?

I have learnt that transmission error is the result of various factors like varying mesh stiffness, tooth bending, tooth macro and micro geometries etc. However, various software predict the transmission error based on various parameter inputs. Is there any literature available which explains the method of predicting the transmission error, especially for a hypoid gearset?
