I want to calculate the (oxygen) gas flow rate through a (convergent) nozzle having inlet diameter = 9.8 mm and throat diameter = 2 mm. Only gas pressure value is known i.e. 100 psi. Could anyone please guide.
Calculation of gas mass flow typically depends on the (experimental) discharge coefficient of the nozzle, which relates to its orifice diameter and internal diameter of upstream pipe. It also depends on the magnitude of the Reynolds number at the nozzle orifice, and on further characteristics of the actual nozzle ― possibly specified according to some applicable standard.
