Suppose a spaceship is moving in positive x-direction with a velocity v

There are two laser guns at both ends along x-axis. Next we fire both guns simultaneously.

  • For an observer inside the spaceship. Let light from the left end of spaceship travels distance 'x1' and light from the right end travels 'x2'. Is x1=x2 ?
  • For an observer outside the spaceship at rest. How does this observer sees x1 and x2. How can we apply Lorentz transformation simultaneously for both x1 and x2.
  • My solution

    For observer in spaceship

                   X1/t = X2/t =c

    For observer at rest

                (X1' + vt')/t' =c

    and    (X2' -vt') /t' =c

Are these two equations correct and consistent ? How can we relate X1 to X1'  , X2 to X2'  and  t to t' ?
