How can we apply hot dip aluminized coating on the stainless steel. What are the requirements for this process. What precautions needs to be takem. And what are the process parameters?
Not strictly my patch, but I would guess you'd need some careful preparation to get the aluminium to stick to the stainless and not spall off under cooling. That might either be a specific fluxing process to get rid of the air-formed passive film on the stainless or you may wish to consider sweep-blasting the stainless immediately before immersion in the aluminizing bath to improve adhesion of the coating. However, I would guess a commercial aluminizing shop would be able to advise you on the options.
I suggest you read some papers of Prof.WANG Chaur-jeng.He is an expert in hot dip aluminized coating. You can contact him in the following way: Department of Mechanical Engineering, Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taibei, China;
