Im not sure about the first question as you use qualtative data (OC) with quantative data(bf).how do u measure bank performance?.

For the private and public groups, yes you can-use difference-difference methodology.

How you are measuring organization culture and financial performance of the banks. Which indicators you have chosen to measure financial performance, e.g.outreach, profitability, ROA, ROE, stock exchange rate, sustainability, risks and others. Once you have two quantitative indicators you can see association of individual indicators or you can group the indicators into different dimensions.

Along the same line as Raj - you need to know which proxies you are using to measure the 2 variables of interest. How the construct OC measured? - if through a number of constructs using 5 pt Ordinal LS, then you can use Factor Analysis to reduce the constructs into specific continuous variables - these can then be fit in a regression models

The unit of analysis is the bank. This is the problem, the sample size is not enough to conduct linear regression analysis. So I recommend first of all to measure the financial performance by using two indicaters or more. Then, cluster the banks according to these indicators. The clustering analysis techniques are numerous as K- means clustering analysis. Or you can ask the financial management professionals about the cutting edge of the significant performance, then classfy the surveyed banks accordingly. Or identifying the best in term of each performance indicators and divide the performance of each bank by the best (benchmarking), then find the average relative performance. The average is between 0-1 then classify banks according to relative performance to high moderate and low. Next find the significant differences between groups of banks in culture according to respondents survey. The size of respondents sample is large enough to use ANOVA or independent samples t-test.

Thank you for all for your responses. I'm reviewing my research based on your responses. For more clarity on question: Financial measures are different ratios based on their annual financial report ( Net interest income (NII) to operating income ratio; Non-interest revenue(NIR)/operating income; Operating expenses to operating income ratio; Net income after interest and taxes to operating income ratio). Organization culture was accessed from different 5 dimension of organization culture and survey was done in different departments of corporate office in 4 different banks. I'm confused on level of analysis: OC was accessed from individual level and financial performance was based on  organization level. But when OC is aggregated for each bank, no of sample will be only 4. Can we put financial performance of each banks to their respective employees (based on assumption: employees are from different departments of corporate office, so financial performance is average of them).???
