Many advocates of the Ecosystem Services Approch claim that monetary values are needed just to complement other different values, such as cultural or ecological. They defend that it is possible to make an integrate valuation, taking account of all of these values (Total economic value, different biophysical accounting methods, a variety of socio-cultural surveys and other methods) integrating them for decision-making. Is it possible to integrate opposite approaches to the same object? Do you know practical examples?
