The contemporary world is suffering from population overload and the quantum of food required is significantly higher ...but the productivity of grains is going down day by day...How should we deal this extremely urgent global issue??
I think there is no easy and straight solution for this. The solution need to embrace both the demand as well as the supply side of the equation. We need to introduce and apply new technologies that can push further our production frontier (enhance productivity, without compromising the environment (sustainability issue) as well as we need to have well manged population growth and reduce food wastage.
This is not only a techical issue,e.g. balancing production and waste.
Everything connected to food is also an ethical issue, e.g. eating and being eaten, creating an eco-logical food chain, conscious/mindful eating.
By boosting agricultural (Food) productivity through facilitating access to inputs, extension services, integrate value chain and improving market access to local farmers.
