Hi,

I came across the attached journal wherein quantum efficiency of luminescent material has been calculated from their PL and Reflectance spectra as follows:

The quantum efficiency of CeO2: x% Sm3+ phosphors were also evaluated by the following equation [41]:(4)ηQE=∫λP(λ)dλ∫λ[E(λ)−R(λ)]dλwhere P(λ), E(λ) and R(λ) are the normalized intensities for the emission, excitation and reflection spectra of the CeO2:xSm3+ phosphor, respectively. The quantum efficiency of CeO2: x% Sm3+ phosphors were also evaluated by the following equation: η (λ) = Integration of [λ P (λ) dλ] /[λ ((E (λ)-R (λ) )dλ], where P(λ), E(λ) and R(λ) are the normalized intensities for the emission, excitation and reflection spectra of the CeO2:xSm3+ phosphor, respectively.

Can anyone tell me exactly how to calculate the same?

Thank you.
