I think the easiest strategy would be to find authors of research articles that are published in your area of interest/research and explore the research profiles and other works of these authors along with their affiliations. Then you can check if your university/institute has an existing collaboration with any of them and reach out to them explaining your role and collaboration request or if your guide/supervisor has an existing connect, they can officially invite the researcher to collaborate with you.
