For my project, it is important for me to know how my polymer coating/grafting affects my cellulose fiber diameter.
I am having difficulty coming across a method in the literature that accomplishes this task. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
For context, I am coating my cellulosic fibers (pulp/cotton) with polydopamine followed by anchoring polymers onto polydopamine surface. I would like to find a method that could allow me to compare my untreated fiber diameter against my modified fiber diameters.

Make a cross section of the fiber. Then look at the surface of this cut with a SEM, TEM, atomic force microscope.

You can calculate it from the volume of the composites mould and the density of the fibre.
