In my opinion, mobile phones won't be a good option for teaching purpose, as they are the BIGGEST DEFLECTORS in our times!
Instead of using mobile phones, one can employ educational tablets such as- Edusoft/ Classmate, for teaching & learning of any subject. These tabs don't have any requirement of sim cards, and already have many e-books, games which help students to grasp the basic components of subjects easily.

The mobile phone is playing a vital role in our life. We are also living in the ICT innovation environment so that our teaching strategy must be changed with new technology. I am agreed with mobile phone can be teaching tool and no more traditional teaching system. We have to change with global change in order to get ready for the change.
Dear Farangis, I Think it could be useful within limit in accordance to it's teaching, learning, ..etc. programmes application, but in other side may show high consuming time for students.

For instance, the use of variety of application on the phone can help students engage in the learning and teaching process; improve their vocabulary, reading, listening, and speaking skills. Also, a mobile phone is a useful tool for English language assessment.
