I'm trying to find calcite plates adsorption properties for some organic molecules. I would like to know that usage of Raman or IR to detect the surface changes. If not any suggestions would be appreciated. When I do the surface characterization I would like to have the liquid on the calcite plates as well.

Hi! If you want to know what changes cause irreversible adsorption of organic molecules on calcite, you can simply measure the change of the work function, for example, by Kelvin technique. Of course, these measurements should be carried out not in the liquid.
