Hi Im trying to combine Actuator disk theory with CFD.
I found two options
Either to add source term to momentum equation or use pressure jump boundary condition. (fan boundary).
Can anyone explain me of this
Is it for vetical axis or horizontal axis wind turbine, if you had decided on the type of axis, then are many papers published on applying actuator disk tneory
Fan boudary is simple to use, and you can describe the pressure jump distribution using a polynomial. Remember that for a wind turbine the pressure jump is negative.

Hi aziz , thanks for information, Actually I'm thinking about the dimessions of the disk, how much the disk should be , also i'm trying to use udf along the blade span.

In general I'm looking for information for Pressure jump boundary condition, that can be used for AD modelling by using user defined function. Actually my objective was to do Actuator Surface Modelling. So initially I'm trying to AD. Now I'm using Aziz information and modelling AD currently sir.
