is there any unique setting available?
I want to simulate a antenna array with amplitude weighting (1x5 ) using single excitation.
1.I have designed patch array in CST
2.I have designed 5 way power divider (amplitude weighting within them) in ADS
The results of with power divider and without power divider-but amplitude directly feed in excitation list T.Solver where not matching
So i checked the sparameter of 5 way divider in CST, it is not matching with ADS
The most simple way is to make the antennas with power divider on a substrate and then simulate all of them with one wave port (in CST) (Use TLM simulation). However this wold take lots of time for making and simulating as well. Another way is that you import the S11 of the antenna to the ADS and use five "1 port S parameter" to act as the antennas and import the S11 of the antenna to "1 port S parameter" and then simulate S-Parameter in ADS.
However, I think that the results of the first one is more precise!
Try to simulate it in MOM solver- ADS that will give you correct result and it will match with the CST Time domain solver.
In the range of L-Band design + - 0.2dB insertion loss deviation will be seen in ADS over CST.
Additionally, you can simulate five antennas in CST and after that import S-matrix to ADS for connection with your divider.
In this case you can take into account a mutual coupling effect of antennas.
