I wanted to simulate a 4-cylinder engine transient heat transfer. Because the combustion in cylinders has delay and not at the same time, I wanted to give different times for setting heat-flux on cylinder liners.
You could run your simulation with the initial set of conditions until finishing the first period. Then you can start the next period with the new set of conditions and take the results from the first period as its new starting point.
If you can apply an open boundary condition at the beginning, t=0, can you apply a time series t= nt, n=1, ..., T of boundary conditions ? This is possible say in atmospheric or oceanic numerical models. Maybe modify the model accordingly?
Thank you very much for your guide,In FLUENT I can give a tabular data that changes at different times, which must be entered separately in FLUENT command log. But other programs like AVL FIRE have table data option in every data input section.
