We are doing this kind of analysis. First step – centrifugation, the second one determining concentration of Ag+ by Atomic Adsorption Spectroscopy – the method is quick and sensitive enough. The important point is connected with AgNP size – if nanoparticles are smaller than 10-15 nm good ultra-centrifugation have to be used to complete separation metallic Np from solution. Also only the top part on liquid should be used for AAS analysis.
If you don't have access to dialysis, consider overlayer centrifugation. If you put a layer of your AgNP's over a mixture of water/glycerine (like say 25% glycerine) and you're careful, your solution should float. When you centrfuging, the nanoparticles being heavy, will pass through, but the ions and other stuff in your solution shouldn't.
wash your NP by diluted HNO3 then by water by using milipore system or centrifugation for separation of NP.
you could test Ag+ ramoval by Adding NaCl to washing water...
